Obama supports Poroshenko’s attack "on his own people." Author Fred Jerome remembers Ruby Dee, Robeson, DuBois and Communist Party solidarity with black artists

Featured Guest(s):
Rick Rozoff, Fred Jerome

Rick Rozoff of STOP NATO discusses the junta tactics of recently "elected" Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko. This is the largest-scale military activity in the history of Ukraine. It is being conducted against civilian centers. Rozoff also discusses Turkey's role in the current situation in Iraq and Syria.

Everyone is expecting voices to emerge challenging America's visibly lying media and President, but there's only silence. This is decadence in real-time.

Fred Jerome gives a fascinating account of 1950s life with his communist parents, whose apartment was a centre for cultural work for the (often blacklisted) greats such as Paul Robeson, W.E.B Du Bois, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Lorraine Hansberry. Jerome's father was arrested and spent several years in prison. They also discussed Obama's war agenda, unjust immigration policies, drones for "national security" and imperialist wars past/present.

Jerome is author of Einstein on Race and Racism (2005) and The Einstein File: J. Edgar Hoover's Secret War Against the World's Most Famous Scientist (2002).

Canada and 'NGOs' Overthrew Haiti's Government: 10-Year Anniversary. Coup in Ukraine

Featured Guest(s):
Yves Engler, Rick Rozoff

Outstanding, muckraking journalist Yves Engler marks the 10th anniversary of the coup organized in Canada to overthrow the first democratically-elected President of Haiti, Jean Bertrand Aristide. Engler also discusses the role of "Non-Governmental Organizations" in carrying out the directives of their home governments in Haiti.

Rick Rozoff returns to the program to follow-up on his previous interview about the possibility of a coup in Ukraine. Rozoff's most dire predictions have come to fruition. The events in Ukraine "have been long in the making" and "methodically planned out." The only thing that isn't materializing is EU aid to Ukraine. "If you've pledged yourself unconditionally, why would they buy you?"

The "Kosovo Model" in Syria. Congressional Approval Does not Absolve Illegal War.

Featured Guest(s):
Michael Mandel, Rick Rozoff

There are a lot of liberal partisans who want Obama to fire his Tomahawk missiles into Syria. Many call for "humanitarian intervention," citing the "Kosovo Model." Mandel explains what this "Model" is, and critiques its unilateral, non-humanitarian nature.

Despite its illegitimacy in the United Nations Security Council, and it's contravention of the Nuremberg trials, the United States and vassals have pushed to establish the "Kosovo model" as a precedent for more interventions.

The U.S. is acting as if a Congressional vote will legalize a war of aggression. It won't, and world parliaments are struggling to represent their anti-war populaces. The problem is that NATO views itself as an entity replacing political nation-state distinctions. Apparently, Turkey is "NATO's South-Eastern Border." We heard this when Fogh claimed Syria is a threat to Turkey.

Syria is not a threat to Turkey, but Turkey has already probed Syrian airspace, and mobilized troops along its border. Meanwhile, people are getting tired of NATO's support for jihadists, and it is endangering relations within NATO. There won't be any slowdown in the endless series of wars: the U.S. has a 'deep state' and it's committed to global hegemony.

Syria, WMDs, and stopping terror - Here we go again. NATO Maneuvers and Countries of Clay

Featured Guest(s):
Stephen Gowans, Rick Rozoff

Stephen Gowans addresses the question of chemical weapons - "The evidence does not tell us how and when the individuals were exposed, or who was responsible." We've started with the premise that Assad did it, and now just need to fit the evidence to the crime.

Real experts are needed to make judgements - the White House itself referred to a broken "chain of custody" in the samples. But we need the head-barbequing, organ-eating fanatics to win, so it's time to gear up the lie machine.

Guess who is eating up the lies? The media, of course. But you have brains. Carla Del Ponte already talked about the rebel use of chemicals. Put it together.

Too bad we don't have a Parliament. We do have a police state.

The New Sykes-Picot

The carving-up of the old Ottoman Empire continues 100 years later. Iraq exists as an entity on a map, but it is already de-facto at least two. We know why. NATO is moving its regional headquarters from Greece to Turkey, consolidating two military commands.

In Jordan, NATO is leaving behind a bevy of troops and missiles for later unspecified use. Ideas of sovereignty and states are becoming almost mythical in that region. Whole countries are treated like clay.

While NATO gobbles up Eastern Europe, it is moving into the Middle East, and recruiting "aspiring" countries from the former USSR to South America. Any obscure conflict involving the Dniester area could bring NATO into a European war.

The finger is on the button to launch strikes on Syria. It can happen at any time. The largest conflict since the second world war is looming into view.

Imperial Hubris: Clinton Demands Russia And China "Pay The Price"
Rick Rozoff

At the third meeting of the so-called Friends of Syria in Paris on July 6, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton proved once again that diplomacy is to the United States what refined dining etiquette is to a jackal.

The third such meeting, earlier versions were held in "post-revolution" Tunisia and in Turkey, a NATO member with military forces massed on Syria's border, was opened by French President Francois Hollande (who already is making his predecessor Nicolas Sarkozy appear less anomalously egregious), who declaimed, "Bashir al Assad must go... a transitional government must be set up."

The head of state of Syria's former colonial master also engaged in comic opera theatrics by observing a moment of silence for - some - of the victims in Syria and insist...
